Formentera hopes to also be able to participate in the Government’s pilot tourism plan
The president expresses her wish that similar actions can be carried out with other markets “very important to Formentera” such as the Italian one.
The president of the Consell de Formentera, Alejandra Ferrer, has trusted that the Island can participate in the Government’s pilot plan to attract German tourism to the Balearic Islands from June 15.
As he reiterated this Wednesday in statements to the media, the pilot plan is “very good news and gives the possibility of carrying out a very important marketing action.”
Said action will take place at a time when the Islands have been “pioneers” in de-escalation, as the president has considered.
Ferrer has also asked for the “necessary” steps to be taken so that there are direct flights to the smaller islands and thus encourage German tourism to get closer to Ibiza and Formentera.
“It will be a very good opportunity to demonstrate to the international tourist all the measures taken in the Islands and guarantee that they can come safely to enjoy their holidays,” she said.
The president has also expressed her wish that similar actions can be carried out with other markets “very important for Formentera” such as the Italian one and thus reactivate the visits of these tourists.
