To get the most from your stay on Formentera and visit the different parts of the island, you will need to approach a car rental agency. You will find most of international and local car-rental agencies offices along the port and if you are visiting Formentera in the peak season, we recommend to book your car in advance.

The island is small. You can drive yourself around and stop when you want and where you want, at your convenience. A good solution is to rent a small car, roads are narrow and parking can be tough. Small cars is definitely the best choice for Formentera. Formentera’s road system essentially comprises 2 main roads that lead from the port, crossing San Francesc, San Ferrán and Es Caló, to La Mola (the highest point), the second road connects the port with Es Pujols, the other smaller roads link to the beaches.

In spite the traffic jam in the high tourist season, driving on Formentera is relatively stress-free.
